NATIONAL, (WDNews) – CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity firm responsible for the July 19 global tech outage that shut down flights and caused chaos for the healthcare industry, financial institutions, and workplaces across the world is offering its partners a $10 Uber Eats gift card as an apology.
The email that went out to CrowdStrike’s teammates and partners included a link to Uber Eats with a message saying, “To express our gratitude, your next cup of coffee or late night snack is on us.”
Customers of CrowdStrike did not receive the email or the $10 apology gift.
“We can’t repeat enough, we’re aware of the impact and deeply sorry this occurred. We want to thank our customers and industry partners for their support and assistance following the release of a faulty content update. We know what happened and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” CrowdStrike said in a post on social media platform X.
CrowdStrike has been working to restore all updates and correct malfunctioning since the outage on July 19, 2024.
