AUBURN, Ala.– A statewide Amber Alert has been issued after a woman and her young daughter were found dead and a 3-year-old boy was discovered missing from the same Auburn home.
Officers with the Auburn Police Department responded to a welfare check around 2:30 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 1200 block of Samantha Court. Inside, they found the bodies of an adult woman and a juvenile female. Their names have not yet been released.
Authorities quickly discovered another child, 3-year-old Jibreel Harun, was unaccounted for. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has now confirmed an Amber Alert is active, stating Harun is believed to be in imminent danger.
Investigators say the child’s father, Aaron Dontay Williams, is the primary suspect. Williams, 41, is also the husband of the deceased woman. He was not at the residence when officers arrived and is now believed to have taken the child.
Williams may be traveling in a gray 2010 Honda Accord with Alabama tag 43A224A. He is described as 6’1”, 240 pounds, with a medium skin complexion.
