MARIANNA, Fla. (WDNews) — Downtown Marianna is looking for volunteers to roll up their sleeves and help clean up and beautify the downtown area.
The Community Clean Up & Downtown Beautification event will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will meet at Regions Park in downtown Marianna.
Cleanup work will include pressure washing, picking up trash and debris, trimming limbs, weed eating and landscaping.
Beautification projects will include painting, landscaping, hanging string lights, general cleanup and other improvements.
Organizers are asking volunteers to bring tools and supplies if they have them, including gloves, rakes, trimmers, painting supplies and pressure washers.
Businesses, civic clubs, churches, school groups, organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to participate.
