BLAKELY, Ga. (WDNews) — The City of Blakely has received a $5,000 grant aimed at supporting employee wellness and creating a healthier workplace.
According to the city, the funding comes through the Georgia Municipal Association’s 2026 Well-Being Grant program.
Utility Clerk Ta’Niya Lee represented the City of Blakely during the grant presentation.
City officials said the money will be used to support efforts that promote employee wellness, well-being and a healthier workplace for city employees.
“We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to putting these funds to work for our employees,” the city stated.
The city also thanked the Georgia Municipal Association for its investment in the well-being of municipal employees and communities across Georgia.
