GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDNews) — Student writers in Geneva County are being invited to put their writing skills to work for a chance to win cash prizes.
The Geneva County Farm-City Committee is accepting entries for its annual Farm-City Essay Contest for students in grades 7-12.
This year’s contest comes as the nation celebrates 250 years of America. Students are asked to write about how agriculture has contributed to the nation’s success and continues to strengthen communities today.
Cash prizes will be awarded to winners at the county level.
The deadline to submit an essay is Oct. 2.
