DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — A new medical practice specializing in infectious diseases has opened in Dothan.
Wiregrass Infectious Diseases, LLC recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
The practice is led by Dr. Rayen-Ayoub Chakra, a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and infectious disease.
Wiregrass Infectious Diseases provides care for patients dealing with infectious diseases and complex infections.
Services include HIV prevention and management, treatment of chronic and non-healing wound infections, bone and joint infections, travel-related illnesses, IV antibiotic therapy and infectious disease consultations.
According to the chamber, the practice’s partnership with Southeast Health provides access to Mayo Clinic Care Network resources.
Wiregrass Infectious Diseases is located at 3124 W. Main St., Suite 3, in Dothan.
The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
