ALABAMA (WDNews) — The Alabama League of Municipalities is encouraging residents and local leaders to show their community pride by taking part in City Hall Selfie Day on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
According to the Alabama League of Municipalities, City Hall Selfie Day is organized by Engaging Local Government Leaders and celebrates public service and pride in local government.
“Show your community pride Tuesday, August 11, on City Hall Selfie Day!” the Alabama League of Municipalities said.
People can participate by taking a selfie in front of a local government building. Photos can include mayors, city council members, public workers or other members of the community.
“How do you participate? It’s easy, just snap a selfie in front of a local government building with the mayor, council, public workers or citizens,” the organization said.
Participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media using the hashtags #CityHallSelfie and #LiveLocallyAlabama and tag the Alabama League of Municipalities and Engaging Local Government Leaders.
