DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Music fans can start planning for the holiday season as tickets are now on sale for A Motown Christmas, coming to the Dothan Opera House on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.
The holiday production blends the timeless sounds of Motown with classic Christmas favorites, featuring powerhouse vocals, energetic choreography and a live orchestra. The show includes Motown hits such as “My Girl,” “Ooo Baby Baby” and “Do You Love Me,” along with holiday classics including “The Christmas Song,” “Please Come Home for Christmas” and “This Christmas.” Audience members will also have the opportunity to join in a festive sing-along featuring songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty the Snowman.”
Headlining the performance are the Motortown All-Stars, an ensemble of vocalists with ties to legendary Motown groups including The Contours, The Miracles and former members of The Temptations. Accompanied by a full orchestra, the production aims to recreate the signature sound and energy that helped define the Motown era.
Organizers say the family-friendly performance offers an evening of classic music, holiday entertainment and seasonal cheer for audiences of all ages.
