BONIFAY, Fla. (WDNews) — According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, deputies will conduct Active Shooter Response Training with Holmes District School guardians on Friday at the Holmes District School Board/GAP Building on North Avenue in Bonifay.
According to the sheriff’s office, residents in the area may notice an increased law enforcement presence, emergency vehicles and simulated training activities during the exercise.
“Please do not be alarmed, as this is only a planned training exercise,” the sheriff’s office said.
The training is designed to help prepare school guardians to respond during emergency situations and strengthen school safety efforts throughout the district.
“We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to train and prepare school guardians to help ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community,” the sheriff’s office said.
