ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the Downtown Enterprise Business Association, time is running out for eligible students to apply for the Hometown Heroes Celebration: A Salute to our Military and First Responders Scholarship Program.
The scholarship is open to upcoming high school seniors who are dependents of active-duty military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders.
According to the announcement, scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $4,000 and may be used to attend Enterprise State Community College during the 2026-2027 academic year.
The application deadline is Wednesday, July 15. Scholarship recipients are scheduled to be announced on Aug. 1, 2026.
According to organizers, students who qualify are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible, as time is running out.
Eligible applicants can scan the QR code on the scholarship flyer to complete and submit their application before the July 15 deadline.
