ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) — Jumpstart Math Academy is offering summer tutoring opportunities for students in grades 3-8 in the Enterprise and Fort Novosel area.
According to information shared by the academy, tutoring services are designed to help students build confidence, strengthen foundational math skills, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
The academy is led by a certified elementary teacher who holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics Education.
“I am a certified elementary teacher with a Master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics Education, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and feel successful in math,” the academy stated.
Services available this summer include small group tutoring, individual tutoring, virtual sessions, and in-person instruction. The program is also intended to support struggling learners and students looking to get a strong start before the next school year begins.
“My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can grow academically while also gaining confidence in themselves,” the academy stated.
According to the academy, focus areas include math fact fluency, fractions, decimals and percentages, pre-algebra concepts, word problems and critical thinking, closing learning gaps, building confidence, and preparing students for the next grade level.
The academy describes its approach as “supportive, engaging, effective,” offering personalized instruction through both small group and individual sessions.
Summer tutoring spots are currently available during June and July.
