DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Leadership Dothan Class 44 presented a check for $36,672.68 to Girls Inc. to help fund a new roof, according to the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
The funds were raised through the class project, Diamonds & Denim, an event designed to support Girls Inc. while highlighting the organization’s impact on the community.
“We couldn’t be more proud of this class,” the Chamber said. “Through Diamonds & Denim, they created a truly unique event that not only raised funds but also showcased the incredible talent, creativity, and impact found within the walls of Girls Inc.”
Chamber officials said the project represented more than a fundraising effort.
“While we’re celebrating the dollars raised, the Class Project is always about more than the money. It’s about building relationships, bringing people together around a common purpose, and leaving a lasting impact on our community,” the Chamber stated.
The Chamber also recognized the work of Leadership Dothan Class 44 and those who helped make the project possible.
“Congratulations to Class 44 on an outstanding project and thank you to everyone who partnered with us to help make it a success!” the Chamber said.
