DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Thousands of users are reporting problems accessing Facebook and other Meta services Friday as a widespread outage continues to affect users around the world.
According to user reports submitted to outage tracking websites, many users have experienced issues with the Facebook app, website access, and account logins. Data from outage monitoring services showed reports surged Friday morning, with the largest number of complaints involving the mobile app and login functions.
Social media posts circulating online indicate some users were unexpectedly logged out of their accounts and were unable to log back in as the outage unfolded.
Meta’s engineering teams are reportedly aware of the issues and continue working to restore full service. While some users have reported improvements, problems remain for others as systems gradually stabilize.
At this time, Meta has not announced when all services will be fully restored. Users experiencing issues are encouraged to wait and try accessing their accounts again later as repair efforts continue.
