SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDNews) — Geneva County Schools has announced the appointment of Cole Mashburn as the new principal of Slocomb Middle School.
School officials said Mashburn, a Houston County native, joins the Slocomb Middle School administration after serving in an administrative role in Mobile.
In a statement, Geneva County Schools expressed excitement about welcoming Mashburn to the school community and the Redtop family.
“Geneva County Schools is proud to introduce Mr. Cole Mashburn as the newly appointed Principal of Slocomb Middle School,” the school system said. “Mr. Mashburn, a Houston County native, comes to us from Mobile, where he held an administrative position. We warmly welcome Mr. Mashburn to the Redtop family!”
Mashburn will assume leadership of Slocomb Middle School as students and staff prepare for the upcoming school year.
School officials have not yet announced a start date but say they look forward to Mashburn’s leadership and experience as he begins his new role.
