DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WDNews) — Deputies with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office recently completed specialized training focused on snake identification, safe handling practices and proper response procedures for snakebite incidents.
According to the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, the training was designed to help deputies better recognize different snake species, safely respond to encounters and handle snakebite-related emergencies in the field.
The sheriff’s office thanked the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Auburn University for providing the training.
Officials said the program helps ensure deputies remain prepared to respond to situations involving snakes and potential snakebite incidents throughout Dale County.
