DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — The Wiregrass Stampede Rodeo is set to return to Dothan on July 10 and 11, bringing two nights of rodeo action while supporting a local nonprofit dedicated to helping some of the Wiregrass area’s most vulnerable residents.
The Professional Cowboys Association (PCA)-sanctioned event will be held at the National Peanut Festival Grounds and will benefit Wiregrass Gives, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on serving at-risk children and families, veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those re-entering the community after incarceration.
According to event organizers, gates will open at 5 p.m. each evening. Mutton Bustin’ is scheduled for 6 p.m., followed by the rodeo at 7 p.m. The event is being produced by Let ‘Em Buck Productions and 3F Rodeo Company.
Wiregrass Gives works to provide resources and support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. The organization describes its mission as “bridging the gaps” by connecting people with services, opportunities, and assistance needed to improve their quality of life.
Organizers say proceeds from the rodeo will help support the nonprofit’s ongoing programs and community outreach efforts throughout the Wiregrass region.
Tickets are $25, and children ages 5 and under will be admitted free. The event is expected to attract rodeo fans from across the region while raising funds for a cause that directly impacts local communities.
