DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – Wiregrass Horse Rescue is asking the community to begin setting aside gently used blankets as cooler months approach. The organization will collect and distribute donated blankets this winter to help those in need.
A Facebook event has been created with details for anyone who would like to participate: Event Link.
In addition to donating blankets, the rescue is offering several other ways to support their work. Contributions can be made through their GiveButter campaign, PayPal Verified Charity page, or by requesting Venmo and mailing address details directly. Items may also be purchased for the rescue through their Amazon Wishlist or Chewy Wishlist.
Supporters can also send e-cards to friends through the rescue’s Making a Difference Cards page.
Organizers remind the public that even small actions such as liking, sharing, or commenting on posts help spread awareness and further the mission of Wiregrass Horse Rescue.
