PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WDNews) — A well-known restaurant and bar in Pier Park has closed its doors after a decade of business.
Brass Tap, located at 100 Pier Park Drive, Unit 130, announced earlier this month on Facebook that it would not be renewing its lease. The restaurant, known for its craft beer and American-style food, officially closed on August 16.
“It’s with a heavy heart, we must announce that we will be pouring our last beer on Saturday, August 16th,” the Aug. 7 post read. “The past 10 years have been nothing short of amazing. We’d like to thank our wonderful staff, each and every single one of our guests, and our loyal regulars who became like family.”
Leading up to the closure, business officials shared multiple posts thanking customers and encouraging them to stop by for a final visit. The initial announcement received more than 100 reactions, about 40 comments, and over 10 shares, with many people expressing sadness over the loss of the longtime establishment.
Pier Park remains one of the most popular destinations in the Panama City Beach area, and Brass Tap’s departure marks the end of a decade-long presence on its west end.
