NEW BROCKTON, Ala. – A new Trail Life USA troop is forming in New Brockton, offering a Christ-centered adventure program for boys from kindergarten through 12th grade. Troop AL-1240 will be based at Bethany Baptist Church and is now inviting local families to get involved.
An Open House is set for Sunday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the church, located on County Road 531. The event is open to the public and will provide families with a chance to learn more about the program, meet troop leaders, and explore how their sons can participate.
“Trail Life is more than just camping and hiking — it’s about building godly men through mentorship, service, and outdoor adventure,” said Charles Sewell, Troop Ministry Liaison. “We’re thrilled to bring this program to our community and give boys a place to grow in faith and leadership.”
Trail Life USA is a rapidly growing national program that offers a faith-based alternative to traditional scouting. The program emphasizes biblical values, outdoor skills, and character development through mentorship and community service.
