DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Motorcycles, families and supporters of Wiregrass Horse Rescue & Sanctuary are coming together for a fundraising ride and a full day of family-friendly activities.
Bikers will meet at Harley-Davidson of Dothan, located at 2418 Ross Clark Circle. Registration will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., with kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. Riders will then travel to Wiregrass Horse Rescue & Sanctuary for the day’s activities.
The cost is $20 per bike and $5 for an additional rider. Organizers say all vehicles are welcome, so you do not have to ride a motorcycle to take part.
Once at Wiregrass Horse Rescue & Sanctuary, there will be a $5 cover charge for adults. Children are admitted free. The adult admission includes a hot dog lunch with chips and a drink, along with a ticket for a door prize.
For bikers who paid the $20 bike registration fee at Harley-Davidson, the adult cover charge at the sanctuary is already included.
The family-friendly event will feature hot dog lunches, a silent auction, children’s games, face painting, a 50/50 drawing and door prizes.
Organizers note that pony and horse rides will not be available during the event.
The fundraiser gives bikers and other members of the community a chance to enjoy a day together while supporting the work of Wiregrass Horse Rescue & Sanctuary.
