TROY, Ala. (WDNews) — Troy Police arrested a 33-year-old man early Monday morning, September 8, following a search warrant executed in the 200 block of Griffin Street.
Authorities said Austin Everson Rashad Howard, of Troy, was taken into custody on several drug trafficking charges, including trafficking marijuana, cocaine, hydrocodone, and oxycodone. He also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the search, officers seized a large quantity of narcotics, cash, and a firearm. The warrant was carried out with assistance from the department’s Emergency Response Team, Narcotics Unit, and Criminal Investigations Division.
Police said the case underscores ongoing efforts to remove dangerous drugs from the community and keep residents safe.
