DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – The City of Dothan’s Department of Leisure Services has released its Fall 2025 hours of operation, effective Monday, August 11. The update includes public access schedules for parks, recreation centers, pools, and Water World.
Recreation Centers:
Andrew Belle, Walton Park, and Wiregrass Park
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Note: Basketball gyms at Walton and Wiregrass are closed 2–6 p.m. on weekdays for afterschool programs.
Westgate Recreation Center
- Monday–Thursday: 5:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Gym closed weekdays from 2–6 p.m. for afterschool programming.
Parks:
Eastgate Park
- Monday–Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Park open until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Pickleball
- Boardwalk closes at 5:00 p.m. daily
- Beginning Nov. 2, park closes at 5:00 p.m. due to daylight savings

Westgate Tennis Center
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: Noon – 6:00 p.m.
Westgate Competition Pool – Public Swim
- Friday: 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Lap Swim Hours
- Monday–Friday: 5:30–8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Monday–Thursday: 6:15–7:15 p.m.
- Friday: 6:00–7:00 p.m.
- Holidays: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Westgate Wellness Pool (Aquacise)
