DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews)  — A new wave of musical talent will take center stage Saturday, July 19, at the historic Dothan Opera House for the inaugural Circle Sessions, a live singer-songwriter competition featuring some of the Southeast’s brightest rising stars.

Presented by Mitchell Automotive, the event promises an evening of original music and raw artistry as six professional performers compete for a share of $5,000 in prize money.

Featured artists include Andrew Vinson, Anna Wescoat, Chancellor Lawson, Cheyloe Martin, Jared Daws, and the duo Uptonogood.

Tickets are $10 and available at www.DothanOperaHouse.com. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and organizers say the affordable price is aimed at filling the venue and giving the community a chance to be part of something special.

Organizers describe The Circle Sessions as more than just a contest — it’s a platform to highlight songwriting as a craft and connect audiences with the next generation of musical voices.

The event is sponsored by Sole Play Bama, Durden Outdoor Displays, Inc., Visit Dothan, and ticketing partner Tixr.
