ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) – Residents in Coffee County have a new opportunity to step up and serve their communities through disaster preparedness. Registration is now open for the upcoming Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training class, scheduled for August in Enterprise.
The training will be held over three sessions at the Enterprise Fire Department Central Station, located at 301 Plaza Drive. Participants must attend all three dates to receive certification:

Friday, August 8, 2025 | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Saturday, August 9, 2025 | 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday, August 23, 2025 | 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The cost to register is $25, which is tax deductible. Pre-registration is required, and at least 10 participants are needed for the class to be held.
The Coffee County CERT program educates the public on disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area. It provides training in basic response skills including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Using the training, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhoods or workplaces during emergencies when professional responders are not immediately available.
