DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) – The Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club, established in 1986, is inviting the public to its annual Field Day on June 28 and 29 at Northside Methodist Academy in Dothan.
Field Day serves as ham radio’s open house—featuring live radio demonstrations, emergency communication practice, and a chance to explore how amateur radio works. The event is free, family-friendly, and open to all ages.
“If anyone is interested to see how ham radio works, this is the time to come out and hear it in action,” said Charles Woodall, a member of the Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club.
