DOTHAN, Ala. — Dothan Preparatory Academy was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday morning following police activity in the area, according to school officials.
The lockdown began at 10:04 a.m. on September 10. Administrators confirmed that all students and staff are safe. As a precaution, everyone inside the school has been asked to remain indoors until further notice.
Traffic around the campus is restricted, and the public is being asked to avoid the area.
School leaders said additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
