Tennessee Church’s Chicken Employee Killed By Angry Customer in Drive-Thru

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WDNews) – An apparent argument between a Church’s Chicken employee and a customer in the drive-thru ended deadly on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Monday night, just after 9 p.m., Memphis police responded to a shooting at Church’s Chicken where they found the employee with at least one gunshot wound.

She was transported to the hospital and later died from her injuries.

The customer-turned-killer is still on the loose as she sped out of the parking lot in her SUV after firing the weapon.

It was not immediately known what the pair argued about.

“The teal-colored SUV drove off the lot and the victim walked outside of the business to get some air,” police wrote in the release. “A few moments later a gunshot was heard and the teal-colored SUV was seen on video speeding off the parking lot.”

Shortly after, the shooting victim was located in the parking lot.

As of Wednesday an arrest had not been made in the case which police said remained under investigation.

Police are still searching for the purple-haired lady caught on security camera footage.
