Golfer, Beauty Queens Honored by Enterprise Mayor and City Council

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) – Jon Ed Steed and the Coffee County Queens received recognition from Mayor William E. Cooper and the Enterprise City Council at their meeting on July 2.

Jon Ed Steed, a rising senior at Enterprise High School, was acknowledged as the runner-up for the 2024 AHSA 7A State Golf Tournament. Steed wrapped up the season with a 71.6 stroke average over 270 holes and is ranked number 47 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings. He has verbally committed to Vanderbilt University, known for its top-tier golf program.

Mayor Cooper also recognized the Coffee County Queens, highlighting their various titles:

– Miss Coffee County: Madi Rae Hudson

– Teen Miss Coffee County: Shaylee Johnson

– Junior Miss Coffee County: Ryleigh Marler

– Petite Miss Coffee County: Madison Rascoe

– Little Miss Coffee County: Caralee Linton

– Future Little Miss Coffee County: Rosemary Walters

“All of these young people are role models in our community,” Mayor Cooper stated. “From success on the golf course, to being active in other sports like cheerleading and dance, and giving back to their community, these youth are setting fine examples for others in Enterprise. We are proud of their success and happy to have them represent our great city.”

The mayor presented each honoree with a Certificate of Achievement.
