3 Young Alabama Male Swimmers have Lost Their Lives in Panama City Beach Waters

Panama City Beach, June 21 (WDNews) – This evening, Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford reported a tragic incident involving distressed swimmers in the Gulf behind Watercress Condominiums at 6201 Thomas Drive.

At 8:11 PM, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office received a call about three young male swimmers in distress. Despite a rapid response, all three swimmers, who had arrived in Panama City Beach from Alabama earlier in the afternoon, sadly passed away by 11:20 PM.

The massive search operation included Bay County’s air unit, emergency services, the Coast Guard, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The extensive effort highlighted the dangers of Gulf waters at this time.
