ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDNews) – Tennis enthusiasts in Enterprise have something to cheer about. The City Council has approved the resurfacing of six tennis courts at Donaldson Park.

Billy Powell, Director of Community Services and Recreation, informed the Council that the courts, last resurfaced in September 2019, require resurfacing every five years as part of their warranty.

The resurfacing will be carried out by American Tennis Courts, Inc., at a cost of $56,810, a budgeted expense. The project is set to begin later this summer and is expected to take about one week to complete.

In related news, the tennis courts at Donaldson Park were named after local tennis instructor William “Bill” Morris in November 2019. A ribbon-cutting and renaming ceremony took place in May 2023.
