Standoff on Highway 90 Ends with SWAT Intervention

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla (WDNews) – On June 15, 2024, deputies were called to a disturbance at 1925 Highway 90, where Brandon Bohannon was reported to have caused extensive damage to his family’s home, including the water lines and air conditioning unit.

Upon arrival, deputies found Bohannon barricaded inside a camper. Armed with a spear, he threatened to “bash their heads in” if they attempted entry. Despite efforts to negotiate his surrender, Bohannon remained hostile, hurling objects at deputies.

As the situation escalated, the SWAT team was deployed. They made a forcible entry into the camper and successfully apprehended Bohannon without further incident. Inside, deputies found a white powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bohannon now faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, felony criminal mischief, possession of methamphetamine, and resisting arrest.
