Two Arrested in Holmes County for Drug Trafficking and Weapons Charges

HOLMES COUNTY, FL (WDNews) – On June 8, 2024, a routine patrol by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple serious charges. A deputy received a report of a person throwing a mortar out of a  blue Ford pickup truck near Stewart Circle.

The vehicle, driven by Blake Boles, was quickly located in the area. Witnesses confirmed seeing Boles throw the firework. K9 “Paycheck” conducted an air sniff around the truck and alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle begin and  revealed a cache of fireworks, trafficking amounts of methamphetamine, scales, baggies, fentanyl, and a loaded shotgun. As a result, both Boles and his passenger, Rachael Austin, were taken into custody and now face a slew of charges.

Blake Boles‘ charges include:

– Trafficking in methamphetamine

– Possession of fentanyl

– Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

– Possession of a firearm while committing a felony

– Possession of drug paraphernalia

– Throwing fireworks from a vehicle

Rachael Austin’s charges include:

– Trafficking in methamphetamine

– Possession of fentanyl

– Possession of a firearm while committing a felony

– Possession of drug paraphernalia

The HCSO continues to crack down on illegal drug activities in the county, reinforcing their commitment to keeping the community safe and drugs off the street.
