Man Arrested for Electronic Stalking in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — On June 10, 2024, Dothan Police arrested Jeremie Michael Spencer, 43, of Enterprise, AL, on charges of Domestic Violence 2nd Degree and Electronic Stalking 1st Degree. The arrest follows an investigation into a series of harassing incidents that occurred between May 20 and May 28, 2024.

Spencer and the victim have a qualifying relationship under Alabama law. During the eight-day period, Spencer reportedly sent over 50 threatening text messages and made numerous phone calls to the victim. The situation escalated when the victim discovered a tracking device on their vehicle, which was traced back to Spencer through video surveillance.

The investigation began on May 29, 2024, after the victim reported the harassment to the police. Authorities gathered sufficient evidence to issue two felony warrants for Spencer’s arrest. The first warrant charges Spencer with Domestic Violence 2nd Degree for stalking, and the second charges him with Electronic Stalking 1st Degree.

Spencer was arrested and taken to the Houston County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
