Stabbing Suspect in Custody in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY,  FL (WDNews) – On Tuesday, June 4, around 5 p.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies rushed to a home on Rocky Creek Road after receiving a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies and Jackson County Fire Rescue found a victim with severe lacerations on their forearm and a substantial amount of blood at the scene.

Early investigations pointed to Joseph McDowell as the suspect. By 8 p.m., investigators located McDowell at a local park. He admitted to stabbing the victim following a brief verbal altercation.

McDowell was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
