National – (WDNews) In a move aimed at enhancing assistance for expectant mothers and new mothers, Senator Katie Britt of Alabama unveiled the More Opportunities for Moms to Succeed Act (MOMS Act) today.

The legislation, co-sponsored by Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and Senator Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, seeks to mandate child support throughout pregnancy, not just once the child is born and establish a centralized repository of adoption and anti-abortion pregnancy crisis centers.

The MOMS Act, introduced by Senator Britt, addresses concerns surrounding declining birth rates by advocating for comprehensive support systems for pregnant women and mothers. With an emphasis on ensuring financial stability and access to resources, the proposed bill reflects a proactive approach to bolstering maternal well-being.

“This legislation is further evidence that you can absolutely be pro-life, pro-woman, and pro-family at the same time,” Britt said. “The MOMS Act advances a comprehensive culture of life, grows and strengthens families, and ensures moms have the opportunities and resources needed so they and their children can thrive and live their American Dreams.”

The legislation aims to enact meaningful policies that prioritize the welfare of Mothers and contribute to the over all well being of families and communities nationwide.
