Excitement fills the air as the Gulf Coast Salute Air Show makes a comeback after a hiatus since 2017. This time, the spectacle shifts its venue from Tyndall Air Force Base to the scenic Russell-Fields Pier, courtesy of a collaboration between the base and the City of Panama City Beach.

Safety takes center stage as representatives from various agencies, including Bay County law enforcement, fire rescue, and the Air Force, converge at Gulf Coast State College to fine-tune safety protocols and plans for the event. Discussions range from traffic management to disaster preparedness.

With Thunder Beach coinciding with the air show, attendees are cautioned about potential congestion in the Pier Park area, urging everyone to stay informed and vigilant while on the roads.

Mark your calendars for May 3rd, when practice runs will take flight, leading up to the main event on May 4th and 5th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. It’s a weekend of high-flying action you won’t want to miss!
