The Bonifay City Council fills a council seat that’s been vacant since early September. Members voted unanimously for Eddie Dixon to fill the vacancy left when Larry Cook became mayor. Dixon is a native of Holmes County and a former school superintendent. There were five candidates vying for the open seat.
