Small Coffee County Town Has a Mayor for the First Time in a Year

New Brockton has a new mayor.  The city council voted 3-2 Monday night to elect Charlie Shaffer as the next mayor of the small Coffee County town.  New Brockton has been without a mayor since Kathy Holley resigned in December of 2022. Last month the town council elected Eric Benavides as the new town clerk.
