A hurricane is expected to make landfall in the Gulf of Mexico this week but is expected to miss The Wiregrass. Idalia is expected to make landfall in Florida’s Big Bend Region as a Category 2, possibly a category 3 storm on Wednesday. Forecasters say The Wiregrass may see small amounts of rain and winds of maybe 20 mph from the system.
