U.S. Senator from Alabama Katie Britt was admitted to a hospital in Montgomery over the weekend after experiencing facial numbness. Britt released a statement Monday saying doctors evaluated her and said the loss of feeling was from the swelling of a facial nerve due to a recent viral infection. Britt has since been released from U.A.B. and is recovering at home.
