Food Taxes are Going Down in Alabama

Wiregrass Residents will start to notice some relief on their grocery bills.  That’s because Governor Kay Ivey recently signed the House bill that gradually cuts the state’s grocery sales tax.  It will drop from four to three percent in September.  If there’s enough in the state’s education trust fund, the rate will drop another one percent by September 2024.
