A $1 million grant has been awarded to parts of The Wiregrass for road improvements. Governor Kay Ivy made the announcement this week. $500,000 will go to resurface 4 miles of roads in Dale County, while Coffee County and Houston County will get $250,000 each for resurfacing work. The grant dollars come from Alabama’s gas tax revenue.
