A Slocomb man claims self-defense for killing his roommate during a court appearance on Wednesday. Jeffrey Carberry said he shot Christopher Knight in self-defense on July 2nd after Knight came into Carberry’s room swinging a bat. Carberry was on probation for elder abuse at the time of the shooting. He’s being held without bond.
