The chief of police for the City of Elba is on paid administration leave following a possible domestic situation. City officials confirmed Police Chief Harold Staley was placed on leave last week but declined to give a reason. Court records show a family member filed a “Protection from Abuse” complaint against Staley after that family member was arrested for domestic violence against Chief Staley.
