DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Houston County residents who qualify based on income will have an opportunity this week to renew a driver’s license or obtain an Alabama state ID.
According to SEACH AL-508 Continuum of Care, a Community Identification Day will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. until noon at The Ark, located at 475 W. Main St. in Dothan.
The event is designed to help qualifying low-income residents with driver’s license renewals and Alabama state IDs.
Those attending are asked to bring a current ID, if available, along with a birth certificate, proof of residency and proof of income.
Acceptable proof of income includes a pay stub from within the past 30 days, Social Security award letter, pension or retirement statement, unemployment benefits statement, child support or alimony statement, SSI benefit letter or documentation of self-employment income.
The event is open to Houston County residents only.
SEACH serves as the coordinating agency for the Wiregrass Continuum of Care AL-508, which covers Houston, Henry, Dale, Coffee and Geneva counties.
