DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the National Child Passenger Safety Board, the organization is accepting applications for its next Community Engagement Representative, a position focused on outreach, education and public awareness of child passenger safety.
According to the organization, the position is open to Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) who are passionate about community outreach, social media engagement and child passenger safety initiatives. Applications are due by Sept. 30, 2026.
The National Child Passenger Safety Board said the representative will help connect with communities, promote child passenger safety education and encourage proper use of child restraint systems through outreach efforts.
According to the organization, it also offers a variety of educational resources, including free online courses covering car seat basics, booster seats, seat belts, hot car safety, school bus safety and transportation for children with special healthcare needs.
For those interested in becoming certified, the board offers Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Training through both in-person and hybrid formats. According to the organization, successful completion of the program results in U.S. certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician for two years.
