DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — Dothan United is partnering with United for Venezuela to collect emergency relief supplies for people impacted by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.
The donation drive will take place during Dothan United’s home match on Saturday, July 11. Volunteers will begin accepting donations at 6 p.m. at Rip Hewes Stadium, located at 550 W. College St. in Dothan.
Organizers are asking the community to donate essential items, including nonperishable food, personal hygiene products, baby and children’s supplies, and recovery items such as work gloves, work boots, socks, flashlights and batteries.
Those unable to attend the game can also drop off donations during business hours at InterTax LLC, 2246 Montgomery Highway, Suite 2, in Dothan.
Organizers say every donation, no matter the size, will help provide relief to families affected by the disaster.
