DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — According to the Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance, the organization is in urgent need of donations after nearly running out of newspapers and towels used to care for animals recovering from surgery.
According to the organization, “Our shelves are empty. We need help ASAP.”
The Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance said it recently asked for newspaper donations but has not received enough and is now “almost completely out.”
According to the post, the clinic is also in urgent need of towels.
“We use newspapers and towels every single day to keep our surgery patients clean, dry, warm, and comfortable while they are with us,” the organization said. “Right now, our shelves are bare and we truly need the community’s help.”
According to the organization, the following items are needed:
Clean, dry newspapers
Clean towels of any size
The organization asks that donors do not bring glossy magazines or slick advertising inserts.
Donations can be dropped off at the Wiregrass Spay/Neuter Alliance, 570 S. Foster St., Dothan, AL 36301.
“Even one stack of newspaper or a few towels would make a difference right now,” the organization said.
“Thank you for helping us care for the animals who come through our clinic.”
