DOTHAN, Ala. (WDNews) — According to Dothan City Schools, students, families, staff, and community members are invited to meet Grant Roberts, the finalist for the position of head baseball coach at Dothan High School.
The meet-and-greet will be held Thursday, July 9, at 5 p.m. in the Dothan High School Convocation Center.
According to Dothan City Schools, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Roberts, hear his vision for the Wolfpack baseball program, and ask questions during the event.
Roberts brings an accomplished baseball background that includes professional experience in the New York Mets organization as a Major League pitcher. He also has collegiate coaching experience, most recently serving as an assistant baseball coach at Wallace Community College.
According to Dothan City Schools, Roberts has focused throughout his career on player development, character, accountability, and leadership while helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.
Community members are encouraged to attend the event and learn more about Roberts as Dothan City Schools continues its search for the next leader of the Dothan High School baseball program.
According to Dothan City Schools, Roberts is a finalist for the position. His appointment is contingent upon approval by the Dothan City Board of Education, and no hiring decision has been finalized at this time.
