HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDNews) — Families across the Wiregrass have a new resource available through the Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention.
The organization has announced its new Pathways for Parents program, a free, community-based service that provides in-home support for parents and families who need extra help with parenting and home management skills.
According to the Exchange Center, the program is designed to strengthen families by offering guidance and support before challenges become larger problems.
Services are available to parents and families living in Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Pike counties who have at least one child from birth through age 14.
The program may benefit:
Parents who want to strengthen their families.
Families at risk of separation.
Single parents.
Teen parents.
Parents needing help with stress management or coping skills.
Parents with a history of child abuse or family violence.
The Exchange Center says all services are free, voluntary and confidential.
